In this project, the owners decided to renovate rather than demolish this timber cottage in the Naremburn Conservation area.  Previous changes to the old house over the years pushed it far beyond the point where faithful restoration was a feasible option.  The original verandah was enclosed, some internal walls removed and an addition constructed with oddly pitched roofs.  The interior spaces had no relationship with the private rear courtyard.
